Day :- 1 - Cochin
- Munnar :- Check out from the hotel after
breakfast and proceed Munnar, “ The Tea Garden Hill Station”
specialized in giving a green carpet welcome to every visitor, with
miles and miles of unending tea plantations under a blanket of white mist
giving it an ethereal beauty. Munnar set at an altitude of 6000 ft above sea
level and the presence of mountains,
streams, waterfalls, valleys and a great place for trekking and
picnicking, it was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in
the colonial days, which is still the same.
Enroute see the sights and the scenic beauty and Check
in to the hotel for two nights. It is in the middle of a tea estate. Hotel River Rock Homestay.
Day :- 3 - Munnar – Madurai :- After breakfast, check out and proceed to
Madurai. Madurai or the "city of nectar" nestled down near the
southern tip of India. This 2,500-year-old city is famous for its Hindu and
Tamil cultural attractions. The ancient Kingdom of Maurya on the banks of the
Vaigai River is one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage centres. Originally
designed in the shape of a lotus motif, the city has since spread into a
colourful patchwork of temples, bazaars and narrow roads packed with shops,
stalls, pilgrims and cows. A must-see is the impressive multitowered Sri
Meenakshi Temple built in 1560. Tirumalai Nayak Palace and Theppakulam are
other sights.

Temple for Puja ceremony.
Meenakshi Temple : The Madurai Meenakshi Temple is dedicated to
Goddess Meenakshi, the protectress of Madurai. Built in the 16th Century by
Tirumalai Nayak, it is spread over 350 hectares. Enclosed by walls, each has a
nine-storey gopuram which is adorned by thousands of intricately carved
celestial and animal figures
Tiurmalai Nayak Palace : One
of the grandest monuments in Madurai and a stunning piece of Indo-Saracenic
architecture. It was built in the early 17th century by Tirumalai Nayak with
the finest of craftsmen. The massive columns and finely carved arches and ceilings
envelop the viewer in a sense of awesome grandeur. Check in to the hotel for

Day :- 5 - Madurai - Kanyakumari :- Check out from the hotel after breakfast and
proceed to Kanyakumari, which is one of the few places in the world where one
can witness both the sunset and sunrise at the same beach due to the geography.
The confluence of these three seas, The Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea, and the
Indian Ocean can be witnessed in Kanyakumari. Check in to the Hotel for a night

Day :- 6 - Kanyakumari – Poovar :-Check
out from the hotel after breakfast and proceed to Poovar. Enroute visit
Thakkala palace. Check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. Next day
after breakfast, visit The SRI PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE - which is believed to be
around 260 years old is the main attraction of this place. The deity of the
temple, Padmanabha (an incarnation of Vishnu) reclines on the sacred serpent in
the inner sanctum. NAPIER MUSEUM - The
building is a combination of the Kerala, Mughal, Chinese and Italian
architectural styles. The building has a unique natural air-conditioning system.
A visit to this museum gives you glimpses of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. Return
back to the hotel and overnight stay. Estuary

Day :- 8 - Poovar - Alleppey :- Check out from the hotel after
breakfast and proceed to “ The Venice of
the East” is a district of immense natural beauty with a vast labyrinth of
lakes, lagoons and several freshwater rivers criss-crossing it. It is the most
fascinating backwater country with the slender coconut palms, never-ending
stretch of paddy fields, meandering lagoons, rippling backwaters, help calm and
invigorate the mind at the same time, with renewed inspiration. The unique
water sport of Kerala the pulsating Nehru Cup Snake Boat Race, is organized in
Alleppey . Check in at Alleppey Houseboat for one night. The houseboat would
be anchored near an island at 5.30 pm for the night, as it is a government rule
(No houseboat should run in the waterways after 5.30 pm). The lunch would be
served at 1:30pm. All the meals would be served on board the boat. Overnight stay
in the houseboat. The air condition will be switched on at 9pm and switched off
at 6am. Alleppey Houseboat.
Day :- 9 - Alleppey – Cochin :-
Check out from the hotel
after breakfast and proceed to (Fort Cochin) or the airport for the onward
journey . And your journey continues.
