Love Conquers All

Image
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. quotes the Bible Honourable Judges, Respected Teachers and My dear friends. I’m hear to speak a few words about the topic “Love Conquers All” Love is a feeling which comes from within our self – The feeling   which makes us a perfect human being. A feeling which transcends all feelings, all bonds and it helps us unite with the Supreme.   Love is portrayed in many ways. Love of parents, children, friends, etc... But can we define love? No, we cannot but we can feel it. We feel it by a simple look, by a smile, by a pat but the end result is indeed worth relieving. The main quality of love is unselfishness. Love humbles the person, he loses his ego, so as to accommodate each and everybody. A mother becomes a mother not only to her child but also to other children too. She with her love conquers the heart of other kids. their parents and ultimately a society. Its just a small example of the power of love Its not easy to get love but its easy to giv

Population

Image
" Go Forth And Multiply! " That's what the human population has successfully been doing for thousands and thousands of years, expanding, exploring, migrating, conquering, utilizing, evolving, civilizing, industrializing, and now, destroying the very land upon which we live.   Respected Teachers And My Dear Friends             I would like to speak a few words on Population. As Prof Stephen Hawking put it, In the last 200 years the population of our planet has grown exponentially, at a rate of 1.9% per year. If it continued at this rate, with the population doubling every 40 years, by 2600 we would all be standing literally shoulder to shoulder.             The world’s population is now more than 6.8 billion and continues to grow by 83 million people per year. During the last half-century, the world’s population more than doubled. The magnitude of this increase will be felt in all aspects of life. It will further stress already strained ecological systems and worsen pove

Science Club

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends.  Science is a vast ocean of knowledge even a small pebble can cause a ripple.  Think about a world without technology. No computers , no cars. No vaccines or cures for diseases. Life would be joyless and extremely hard. It was not long ago that this was the case. However, now with science on our side it's a whole new story. Science permeates our lives and informs our actions. Physics , for example, teaches us how mirrors work, how glasses can aid one's vision and how heat is treated by various household materials and there goes a list of many more. Chemistry discusses the principles of matter, like atoms, molecules and compounds. It discusses the countless different substances that can arise from the minutest variations within compounds. These atoms, molecules and compounds make up the water we drink, the food we eat, the air we breathe, the medicines we take when we are sick. In short   we can't possibly live without Chem

Punctuality

Let every hour be in its place Firmly fixed, nor loosely shift, And well enjoy the vacant space, As though a birthday gift.           The measure of any society's development and progress does not lie in the wealth of which it disposes or the natural resources that it harbours but in the value system to which its citizens subscribe. The most important of these values are, “a respect for time” Honourable judges, respected teachers, parents and my dear friends           I would like to speak a few words about punctuality.   What is punctuality? Allow me to begin by stating the Dictionary's definition of Punctual:   Acting or arriving exactly at the time appointed. One might wonder whether punctuality is really all that important? Does it hold any great value? What difference does it create in life?           Well, b eing on time shows that you are responsible, trustworthy and can follow directions. More than that, it shows that you have personal integrity and self-discipline.
