Who Are You?

I am living in a place where history is everywhere, in the buildings, the trees, the seas, the backwaters, etc... You know history is made by the people, the people who lived here, live here. That means, you and I are making history for the future generation. The past generations had given us something to say about, the buildings, the trees, the trades, the ......., etc...etc.... Now if we fast forward it to a hundred years ahead, what might have we given to the future generation? I hope you understand what I mean, we are making changes everywhere advancing everything, which are now backfiring against us. Do you know why this happens? It is simple, we are proud of our knowledge, education and our capability. You know, that is a big blunder we are doing. There was a time when the people had not had all this know how, but still they built the pyramids, the great china wall, the greatest cave paintings, the greatest drainage systems, water systems, townships, which we are curren

The New Resolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the eyes of 2013 are drooping for a long sleep, the atmosphere here is that of expectation. You know, after the sleep you would be having a brand new day, new year and new hopes. But there is one funny part, how do we know the difference from the old year and the new year, in fact, what about months. Do you know the difference? I really do not know. So for me, I would say, there doesn't make any sense in putting expectation or planning a new beginning for a specific date or a day because all days have a morning, afternoon, evening and night. The attitude we have is what makes the difference. So what do you think? Are you planning to make a resolution for new year or for now? Think about it. I will think about it for sure. See you tomorrow. Until then, take care. Bye. Meena

A Happy Ending!!!!!!!!!!

As my year comes to an end, I have always thought, what all achievements would I have to boast of before I step into this new year - 2014. So I started replaying my life and I have nothing great to boast of. Its simply zero. Can you believe it. I just can say, I lived in the moment. When someone smiled I smiled back. When help is requested I tried to give it When in sadness, just to give a shoulder to cry on, etc....etc... So now you know, its not a very big deal of a life I had. But one surprise, I wanted to fulfill a resolution, to write everyday, my blog for a year and until now, yes, it was made possible and I do not know the rest, but I hope to fulfill it. But anyway I am happy for whatever bargain I got from life. It was not a very easy one to carry on. But the invisible guiding hand was there to guide me through all life's turning points both good and bad. The only thing I learned from this life is, no matter whatever the situations you are in, just have fait

Law of Attraction

I just happened to read the law of attraction from a site. Please check out. Every living thing has a unique energy signature, a vibration. As humans, our vibration changes by what we focus on. When you look at a beautiful sunset or watch a puppy playing, your vibrations will soften. If you pay attention, you will feel a quality of openness and love. Conversely, if you check in with yourself while watching the 5 o’clock news or a political debate, you’ll probably notice that your vibrations will shift into a state of contraction, actually pulling away from the quality of love. In other words, you will feel negative feelings. Likewise, our vibrations change by the thoughts that we keep our attention on, especially by the thoughts that hold our dominant attention. If your mind is predominantly filled with lack or resistance, you will feel a negative energy pervade your being. On the other hand, if you train yourself to focus on positive thoughts, you will feel yourself aligning wit

Everything happens for a reason

I have a tendency to give a message to my guest in a small paper or by a small card after they take a tour. Its my writer's tendency I feel. And I usually do not ask what message they received. So yesterday, one guest read her message and said, "Oh!!! it's a good message, I should really keep this in mind always and folded and kept it in her bag. Then we continued talking. In between the conversation, she said, "you should really practice the message you are giving to everybody because you are talking just opposite what you are writing." I was surprised because I didn't know what her message was and to be frank, I felt ashamed too. You know, even if I write great dialogues sometimes I return back to my basic nature at some point or other where fear, indecisiveness, laziness, anger, sadness, etc... do take a place in our life. Anyway she read the message she got, " Everything happens for a reason." I smiled and said, "Sure I will do that."

So Boring Work

When we are doing a work which we feel boring, we would naturally feel sleepy. But at that very moment, if we get something to do which we really love to do,then we all know that we could never close a wink. But why do we differentiate work? Now if we are denied to do what we love to do, then what will be our response? Well the answer to the last question is predictable :- Nooooooooooooo Don't do that to me. Isn't it not? You know, years back I had this same predicament. I was denied what I really loved to do. To become a doctor. It was my very existence, my dream and one fine day, my family felt and said "this profession doesn't suit a lady, especially an Indian lady, who would eventually marry and bear kids, your work would hinder the smooth running of your family. So its better to have only a basic education, just enough knowledge to help children in studies. So I feel you should stop studies and think of marriage." I was then just 17 years old. Thus my p

Advantages of Sugar

Image
Today, my sister in law spoke, that one of her friends were speaking of the bad effects of sugar creating heart disease, diabetic, etc.... But for me, sugar is an integral part of my life because I have a sweet tooth. And one more miracle happened to me with sugar. My waistline was a bit extended, well, not bit but far more than to my liking and I was trying to reduce it. So I tried yoga, walking, etc... But was of no use. I was still the same an a little more fat. It was during that time, I got a room mate, who was a Korean. She was also a Korean doctor. I came to know about it, when I saw her with all the needles stuck on her toes and fingers. So I asked her, which is the easiest disease to treat in her system of medicine. She replied, obesity and diabetic. I just couldn't believe my luck. So I immediately asked, "Can you treat me for obesity?" She said, "No problem just drink sugar syrup or jaggery syrup mixed with water for four times a day 15mts before food.

Reduce Fever

Image
The best way to cure fever is, soak a handkerchief in cold water and keep it in your left hand for an hour, immediately the fever comes down and if you can do that four times a day for an hour each. Then I can guarantee you. The fever would be gone. Never let the fever to get aggravated because, it would really get lots of complications not only in the brain but also the whole immune system will be down bringing us down with other diseases too. See you tomorrow. Until then, take care. Bye Meena

Beauty Tips

Image
Today I accidentally saw an advertisement of a big gathering of the great beautifying people. The advertisement was like this, "For everyone wanting to meet the stars of the hair and beauty sector, the mega event of the year." You know, when I read this, I knew, there would be an interest in every heart. But why do we have so much flutter when we hear about beauty? Simple, we feel that we would be accepted only if we have beauty. But in fact, I would like to ask one question. What is your criteria about selecting your friends? Or I will rephrase the question. How many friends do you have who are really beautiful? The answer would be either two, one or none. What does that mean. We are simply wasting our time, making ourselves beautiful. We all look for a person who is kind, smiling, easy to talk to, etc...etc... isn't it? So my advice is be beautiful at heart. Then you would be more popular than the most beautiful world in the Universe. Did I exaggerate? No, not at

The Law of Prosperity

Image
Prosperity is the result of putting the law of seed time and harvest to work for you. Gal 6:7,9 1) What do you really want? Be specific in your petitions to the universe. Don’t keep affirming that you want a generous income and fulfilling work, without clarifying exactly how much you wanted to earn, and in what form you wanted the work to arrive. That’s like walking into a restaurant and telling the waitress, “you want food.” What kind of food? How much food? Hot or cold? Would you like a beverage also? What condiments would you prefer with your meal? Many of us are vague in our desires. We know the general result we’d like (an end to financial difficulties, a better job, etc.) but there are many more facets to consider. First things first – we need to have a pathway for the prosperity to enter our lives, it might be business management, or hair styling, or baking or writing. It is possible to earn great money doing something other than what you truly love, but too many of us make

Psoriasis

Image
Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory disease which can affect the skin, joints and nails. The causes of psoriasis are not fully understood and are the subject of ongoing research. In psoriasis, the immune system is mistakenly activated, which leads to overproduction of skin cells. Skin cells build up too rapidly on the surface of the skin, forming raised, red, scaly patches (called plaques). These plaques are often itchy and sometimes painful. Psoriasis lesions commonly appear on the scalp, limbs and lower back, but they can occur anywhere on the body. Some people are not very affected by their psoriasis symptoms, but for others, psoriasis is a disabling and embarrassing condition that affects their lifestyle and their interactions with others. There are many available treatments that may help to relieve symptoms and improve daily life. IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT PSORIASIS 1. Psoriasis is not contagious. 2. Sufferers develop psoriasis between the ages of 15-20 years or later between 5

Remove Pimples

Image
Pimples/Acne is the most dreaded skin problem that lots of us face especially the teenagers. It’s been the woe of millions of male & female all over the world and the most commonly complained about skin affliction at any dermatologist’s clinic. It may be terribly embarrassing particularly when that ugly pimple appears right before a special date, a celebration or some other important occasion that you’re looking forward to. Frequent breakouts may also lower our sense of confidence and self-esteem. An important hint to consider relating to acne breakouts are knowing exactly what it is and the causes of it. This is important for avoidance and for your mental health, simply because acne breakouts are only partially due to your daily health. Acne breakouts are triggered once your oil glands grow to be stopped up. In addition to getting messy skin area, possessing skin area cells that get rid of within an unequal fashion may also trigger acne. Do not pinch, prod, or poke your blemis

Be A Loser

Image
Today in my family we had a very small fight, which could have aggravated, if I hadn't got the insight into the cause of it. It was so trivial a cause, that I felt, it should have been overlooked. But you know, we people are so strung with a joint family tagging around, that we make all sorts of mistakes just at every juncture of our life. Now, while this juggling of words were taking place, I was a silent spectator because I didn't want to add oil into the already raging fire with my words. I saw the faces, the expressions of all around. It was not good. So this made me think, we are all here to be happy and not to be sad, then why is it that we are always sad, with our own people more than outsiders? It was then, it came to me like a splash of cold water on my face, that if this is the case with us, then we are the reason for its origin. I know its very difficult to believe it. But its true. We all hear one jargon of Darwin in all aspects of life, whether its profess

Alzheimer's Disease

Image
Today, I met a daily wager, who had worked for our family for many years. I smiled at him and asked, "How are you Rajan? Did you buy fish?(As he was coming from the market). But he didn't reply or smile. He was looking at me, as if I had grown two horns on my head. I was surprised because before he used to joke with me and talk so much, that I used to go another way, to avoid him. So this way of behaviour was really weird. when I asked my friend, I came to know, he had forgotten everything even people. I felt sad. So I thought, its time to learn what causes this forgetfullness. What is Alzheimer's disease? Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease in which healthy brain tissue degenerates, resulting in problems with memory, behavior, and other mental abilities. It is the most common cause of dementia (the loss of memory and other intellectual abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life) and the seventh-leading cause of death in the United States. The Power of Priesthood

Image
Last day there was a public voicing of the credibility of priests and their works by a man to an old lady, in a queue in the LIC office. Since it was a queue, nobody had any business other than hear this juicy topic. But to the horror for the man and the spectators, the old lady declined herself to be dragged into the malice. She said sternly, “Look, I do not like to criticise any priests or for that matter anybody. And you’re a man, it won’t suit you to talk in such a manner, as a woman. Please let me be as I am. The man felt ashamed because he was publicly humiliated. Here the generation gap which focuses the lifestyles of two cultures and characters were reflected. But it was a thought for me as a lay person. We are living in an age where priests and sisters are valued less. An age where there are hordes of opportunities to corrupt mankind. In the process the God’s selected few too get corrupted, unwittingly. But the humiliation others take is heart rending. It is indeed a sad sp

Ouch Acidity

Image
Not a lot of people are aware that it is important to maintain the acid-alkaline balance because it hugely affects the overall health. However, not everybody knows what the proper pH level balance should be. pH is actually a measure of acidity of the body fluid depending on the amounts of positively charged or acid forming ions and negative charged or alkaline forming ions present in the fluid. A normal pH ranges from 0 to 14 and 7.0 is considered to be neutral. Experts say that a healthy person should have a pH of 7.35 or 7.45. Even though this is just a little bit leaning toward the acidic side a person whose pH value is either higher or lower than this one is considered to be quite vulnerable to various ailments and diseases. This is the reason why a lot of people wonder what to do when their pH level is a little below the normal pH value. Acidity in human body A person's body is considered to be acidic if his or her pH value is just a little bit lower than the normal pH va
