Day :- 1 Trivandrum – Kanyakumari (86 Kms / 2hrs) On arrival at the Trivandrum airport, you would be
welcomed by our chauffeur for the onward journey to Kanyakumari. which is one of the few places in the world where
one can witness both the sunset and sunrise at the same beach due to the
geography. The confluence of the three seas, The Bay of Bengal, the Arabian
Sea, and the Indian Ocean can be witnessed in Kanyakumari. Check in to the Sea Shore Hotel for one night
stay. Check out the famous sights
according to the availability of time.

Day :- 2 Kanyakumari – Kovalam (84 Kms / 2
hrs) :- Wake up early, before 6 am, and watch through your
window to experience this natural wonder - the sunrise . Have breakfast. After
breakfast, if there are sights unfinished complete it before 12 pm. Check out
from the hotel at 12 and proceed to Kovalam. Enroute visit Padmanabhapuram
Palace (Palace of Marthanda Varma). Padmanabhapuram Palace got its present name
when it was rebuilt in the 18th Century, using granite in most of the parts of
the outer fort, by Marthanda Varma, King of Travancore during this period, who
named the palace Padmanabhapuram after the name of the prime deity of
Travancore, Lord Padmanabhaswamy, a reclining form of Lord Vishnu. The
buildings are constructed from wood and stone and the complex is unlike any
other in India, built in Kerala’s indigenous style of architecture. The palace
was built upon an earlier one, constructed in the 14th Century, as a mud palace
in the Nalukettu style of architecture that prevailed in Kerala at that time. Contained
within the complex is a collection of 14 palaces and 127 beautiful royal rooms,
many of which feature ornate wood carvings. The carved ceilings of the palace
depict 90 varieties of flowers. Paintings, hundreds of years old, and stone
statues, some over 1000 years old, are on display on the palace grounds. After
the visit, proceed to Kovalam the land of crescent beaches which
stretches along the azure blue waters which is lined with coconut trees, makes it a naturally desirable
tourist destination. It is today a favourite haunt of domestic as well as
foreign tourists who throng the sandy palm-fringed beaches and the nearby
attractions throughout the year. Check in to the hotel and leisure yourself on
the beach., check in to the Sagara Beach Resort for two nights stay and
laze around the beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Day :- 3 Trivandrum :- After
breakfast proceed for Trivandrum sightseeing starting with SRI
PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE - which is believed to be around 260 years old. The
deity of the temple, Padmanabha (an incarnation of Vishnu) reclines on the
sacred serpent in the inner sanctum. NAPIER
MUSEUM - The building is a combination of the Kerala, Mughal, Chinese and
Italian architectural styles. The building has a unique natural
air-conditioning system. A visit to this museum gives you glimpses of Kerala’s
rich cultural heritage. SRI CHITRA ART GALLERY - The Gallery houses
paintings from the Mughal, Rajput and Tanjore schools of art and has a rare
collection of paintings by Raja Ravi Varma, Svetoslav and Nicholas Roerich. An
Oriental collection consisting of paintings from China, Japan, Tibet and Bali
are a visual treat to the visitor. OBSERVATORY , SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
MUSEUM, CHACHA NEHRU CHILDREN’S MUSEUM. By evening return back to the hotel
and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day :- 4 Kovalam - Varkala
(60 kms / 1.30 hr) After breakfast, check out from the hotel and
proceed to and proceed to Varkala the only place in Kerala where the
hills come close to the sea. The uniqueness here is the merging of cliffs with
the Arabian Sea. Varkala has many springs which make it one of the
sought-after tourist spot. One of the important beaches of this place is the
Papanasam Beach, and close to this beach rests the famous Janardhana Swamy
Temple which is more than 2000 years old. The Janardhanaswamy Temple is another
hotspot of the place. Check in to the Hindustan Beach Resort for 1 night
and laze yourself in the beach. In the evening visit the temple. Return for
overnight stay in the hotel.
Day :- 5 Varkala – Kumarakom (140 kms / 4.30 hrs) Check
out from the hotel after breakfast for the onward journey to Kumarakom, a cluster of islands in Vembanad Lake, one of Asia’s largest freshwater
lakes, and home to an important bird sanctuary. Paddy fields, coconut groves,
mangrove forest and its waters, are the main landscapes, of the area. Check in
to the Lakesong Resort for two night stay and the rest of the day is
free for you to spend at leisure near the backwaters. You can also choose to
take a canoe out on to the lake (extra cost) or enjoy a cooling swim.
Day :- 6 Kumarakom :- Wake up
early for a visit to the bird sanctuary which opens at 6 am, spread across 14
acres, has an interesting variety of birdlife. Between the months of November
and May, the bushes and woods of the sanctuary play host to some rare migratory
birds. The Vembanad lake body attracts waterfowl like pin-tailed duck, garganey
teal, spot-billed duck, birds of prey like osprey, marsh harrier, steppe eagle,
etc. Return to the hotel, have breakfast and rest of the day is free for you to spend at leisure near the backwaters.

Day :- 7 Kumarakom - Thekkady (107 kms / 4
hrs) After
breakfast check out from the hotel. for the onward journey to Thekkady. Thekkady
is one of Indias most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries, where you can
watch wildlife at close range. Lying close to the plantations, in the rich
jungles of Periyar. It is one of the worlds most fascinating natural
wildlife reserves - the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Spread across 777 sq. km,
of which 360 sq. km is thick evergreen forest, at an altitude of 700-900 metres
above sea level. It was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Check in to Hotel Tiger’s Roare, after rest go for
the boat trip in the splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam
across the Periyar river. After, the guest is free to move around Kumily, the
spice town, where you can experience the fragrance of Pepper and Cardamom.
Kumily is the nearest town to Thekkady just 4 KMs from the boat landing.
Day :- 8 Thekkady - Munnar (110 kms / 4
hrs) Check out of the hotel after breakfast for the
onward journey to Munnar. Munnar, the land of misty tea with the serenity of a newly
wed Indian bride with all her paraphernalias regally adorned. Drive leisurely
stopping at beautiful sights, birds, small waterfalls, etc... Enroute, visit
the spice plantation, tea museum and DARE school, DARE (Developmental
Activities in Rehabilitative Education), this centre has worked on
rehabilitating mentally and physically challenged children of plantation
workers in Munnar. Right now, there are children between 3 and 18 years of age
with various disabilities at the Centre. As part of our rehabilitation program,
over the years, many of our children have successfully joined main stream
schools. Others have been rehabilitated at Srishti itself (Aranya, Athulya,
Strawberry Preserve Making Unit and the Garden). Check in to Misty Mountain
for two nights stay. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day :- 9 Munnar :- After breakfast proceed to
visit Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam and Eco Point and return to the
hotel for the overnight stay.
Day :- 10 Munnar – Cochin (140 kms / 4
hrs) :- After breakfast, check out from the hotel to proceed to Cochin. Cochin
is a vibrant city. From time immemorial, the Arabs, British, Chinese, Dutch,
and Portuguese have left indelible marks on the history and development of
Cochin. Over the years, Cochin has emerged as the commercial and industrial
capital of Kerala and is perhaps the second most important city on the west
coast of India (after Mumbai/Bombay). Cochin is proud of its world class port
and international airport that link it to many major cities worldwide. Check in
to the Hotel Fort House for two nights stay. Freshen up and stretch your
legs for a leisurely walk around Fort Kochi. After tea at 5 pm proceed to the
cultural show.
Day :- 11 Cochin
:- After breakfast, set off for a city tour covering, Dutch Palace (Friday
Holiday), Synagogue (Friday Saturday Holiday), St. Francis Church (Sunday
Holiday), Chinese Fishing Nets, Maritime Museum (Monday Holiday), Dutch
Cemetery and Santa Cruz Basilica. After lunch half day sightseeing in a
houseboat in the Vembanad lake in a punting boat. Overnight stay in Cochin.
Day :- 12 Cochin Airport :- After
breakfast check-out from the hotel/resort and directly transfer to Cochin
Airport on time to board your flight/train for your onward journey.
