Just Go To Hell

Yesterday, while I was in the boat, I had a talk about being spiritual. When we say that word, the first thing that comes to mind is prayer or going to a place of worship regularly. Frankly speaking, are you sure, that these people are the people who are spiritual? I would say a big "No" . I have my reasons. The people who are regular pray people, who go to church and temple are a nightmare to deal with. They are inhuman, they are inconsiderate. They feel they are always right because, they have the added bonus of going to church daily and praying from dawn to dusk. But a normal person, who doesn't have nothing to hold on or no set of rules, have only . They bring out what is in them, their innate behaviour - humanity. You know, its the synonym of love. It comes from the very heart and the heart doesn't need any rules. The best of everything comes from the heart and the people who feel that they are right are always a calculating machines, which we could gu

A Great Fight

I do not know, whether I should say this. But still I would like your comments on this. When we have a big fight, what is the protocol after it? Do you go and say sorry or weep your heart out or be angry with the opposite party? Well I didn't do any of the above. I do not know, how a fight ensues, but it happened and I too became a party - the center piece. Since age and experience was a plus points to my side, I tried not to bring anger after the biiiiiiiiiiig fight. There is one thing you should know, a clap could be heard only if we join two hands. A single hand cannot make a noise. So I put my mind in a blank state against the words and slanderings and decided to evaluate the reason for starting a fight. As I evaluated, I felt, I could have let a small issue pass by without getting hyped. But there are some things, which cannot be overlooked because it has been overlooked just for the cause of avoiding fights. But if we continue in that state, the other person would n

Because

I have always thought, how would we fare in life without a because. But do you know this word is a small spark which can ignite a big explosion? Its simple, when we make a mistake, we have a reason, that's for sure. So we start to get into the very depth of the cause of our mistake and it would surely be not us then naturally the first word that comes out of our mouth is 'because'. The first 'because' makes the other person feel a negativity over us and the next 'because' would make him grind his teeth and the third one a tight fist and the fourth one a smash which would have a negative impact in our life. So what do you think? Is because, good for any cause? A lawyer can use it without chaste A student with lightning haste But the lesser mortals like us, Are better off without the lot. See you tomorrow, Until then take care, Bye. Meena

Any other Gods?

The next best thing I learned from my friend is, never expect anything from human beings. Its not their fault, they are imperfect in the physical sense, which naturally transmits through their thoughts, words and actions. But the eventual heart break is very drastic. If you want to avoid the last part - the heartbreak part. Then you should abstain from attachment. When we are attached to something or someone, we expect a lot from them or from it. And that creates heart break and we are not here to waste time breaking our hearts. Breaking, joining and healing is along process. Sometimes it takes a lifetime. The owner of the monument Taj Mahal in Agra was so obsessed with his wife, that he was a living dead after her death. And he was like that until his death. I know you would say,it is sad. But I was thinking about his obsession that he forgot to live. There are some people who would get mental imbalance or sometimes commit suicide because of his obsession. This is a very v

The Roundabout

One of my friends lost her family due to certain circumstances which could be termed, thrown out of home. They burnt her certificates and no money to survive. She became literally alone in the streets. I do not know, how she survived, but after several years, I met her and she was a changed person. I was expecting a depressed person, but to the contrary. She was at peace with herself, no hatred or no hurt. When I asked, how she became such a person? She replied to my utter surprise. “I came to this world with nothing but my body and I return with nothing, not even my body. My family helped me understand it and I would be thankful to them. Why should I cry for something, which I don’t own. Why should I run in amassing money? Why should I crave for my own home? God provides me, what I need. He knows me better than I know myself. If I need a home, He will give me. If I need a dress, he would cloth me. If I feel hungry, the food would reach me. The only thing I need to do is, keep my

The Smooth Hoses

Yesterday, while I was walking with my cousin, she was speaking about an incident which made her heart skip a bit. The incident was like this, two parents were taking their kids aged 5 and 7 yrs old to school. The parents were talking shop and deeply engrossed in it and the children were walking before them on the pedestrian street for sure, but there was a difference, the pedestrian street was the dumping yard of big fiber hoses of the telephone exchange. The hose was so smooth that even cats could slip and fall, on that these children were walking easily. When she said it, the first thing that came to my mind was, the children live the moment, whatever comes to mind, they do. They do not look at the consequences of their actions. The wise would say, think twice before you act. It is good, but if our whole life, the moment, the day, the months and years, then there would be time only for thinking and no actions. So let loose your fear once in a while and take the risk, but don&

The Dragon Warrior

Yesterday, I happened to watch the movie Kungfu Panda. There are three things that touched me. The first one, which really awed me was the selection of the dragon warrior. And the person selected was a Panda who had no knowledge of the basics of kungfu whose main focus was eating. But still he was selected, why? Is it really possible? The answer is always an emphatic Yes. That is what we should know. In the real world, we all are born with lots of drawbacks, that is natural, but there is a gem within us, which has been camouflaged by our flaws. We always are focusing on our flaws, which makes us the imperfect beings. But we get to unwrap the gem through circumstances which we face on a daily basis. Years back, if someone had told me, Meena, you would have your own blog and you would write several books. I would reply, without an iota of doubt, "In another life, not this one." Really I did not like to write because, I was not good at writing. but circumstances, made me to

The Act of Gifting

Today, I was gifted with a chocolate with nuts, you know the crunchy type of chocolate. I am actually not a nutty person. But since it was a gift, I did not want to say no because, the expression on his face, was so expectant that I really didn't want to splash cold water on his face, by my boring attitude. Because there is a history behind it. Long time back, when I was small, I had a favourite nun, who happened to be my boarding mistress. You know, these sisters get to celebrate their feast days as well as birthdays. Their feast days are always grand, lots of gifts, wishes and sweets. Since it was my favourite sister's feast, I also wanted to give her a gift. But what can a lower primary school kid, staying in a boarding school gift her teacher. If you ask me, there is nothing. But I used all my resources like, used cards, sketch pens,etc..etc.. to make a unique card and an expensive pen, which someone had gifted me. I wrapped in a used presentation wrapper and satin ribbon

The Power of Prayer

You know, for me, I was bought up in a prayerful atmosphere. You know, morning wake up, prayer, go to church or temple or mosque or whatever. After, returning, prayer before breakfast, prayer before going to school and in school, another set of prayers, then in afternoon, again prayer, then evening prayer and in night, the last prayer. I know, you might be thinking, its a lot of prayer. But imagine, the mentality of a school going kid from the age of five who has been going through this, till the age of seventeen, naturally, I should be averse to prayer. But unfortunately, I got attached to it, not for the long recital of prayer, forget that part, even today, thinking of it, gives me goose bumps. But the talking part, between my drop of soul with the ocean of God soul, is so powerful, that believe it or not, you could be wonderstruck, with the speed it gets fulfilled. I always say to everybody and anybody to just inform the God soul, with your soul, whatever you feel, just plainly an

The Beauty of Belief

There is a flaw for me, I believe that all human beings are good, even if they hurt me, then too I do not place any blame them. So naturally my friends has classified me as a half crack. Anyway, that is no big deal. But if a pain in the ass person comes face to face and deals with me, then, how do you think I would deal? It happened years back, I was seven years old. I am rarely at home at that time. So unknowingly during one of my holidays, circumstance necessitated me to go to my neighbour's house. I met a man, very smart and good looking, I spoke to him for sometime and returned. That night, I heard shouting and yelling in the middle of the night. It was from this man's house. So I asked my cousin, why so much commotion in that house and her reply just froze me to death. She whispered, even in your dreams Meena, don't you dare go near that house. The man hasn't an iota of sanity. He sometimes get so violent that he attacks, anyone and everyone, who he doesn

Fulfilling Other's Expectation

Today, I happened to be in a position where I had to live up to someone else's expectation. Usually, a human life is always living upto someone else's expectation. When we are born, our parents have an expectation, when we study, along with our parents, teachers too have expectation. When we grow big, the circle of expectation gets wider. But are we able to keep up to their expectation? That is the most dumb question we would be trying to answer. One thing we should remember, in life we are really having difficulty in fulfilling our own expectation, then, what would be the success percent of fulfilling other's expectation? Yes, you are right, it would be zero. But, if you include their expectation as yours, then you can make yourself happy and in the process, others could become happy. Life is surrounded by a lot of people and you are one among many, but don't put your self in that maze and vanish off. Each thought, each action has a lot of investment fro

Shed not Other's Tears

Today, the first of August. I was planning to have a great day. Starting a month with good happening is a good omen for the whole month. It would be filled with loads of good happenings. Hmmmm...its great to know, isn't it? But if it is drenched with someone else's tears, then what should the omen be. Thus the day started , a girl was offered an accountant job, when the girl arrived, she was given a menial job. Just imagine the shock the girl might have had. Interviewed for one and appointed for another. She was literally crying her eyes out. Better ask why? She resigned her previous well paid job to take up this job. But there was one thing too, as per her educational qualification, she would not get this job anywhere. But what struck me is her tears. The whole building went silent. Yes, its true, tears really breaks the other person, who has to watch it. Its like a death, not only to the weeper, but also to the onlookers. Do you know, why that happens? All people are one

The Beginning of the End

The old generation look down at the new generation kids with disdain. For them, the newbies are good-for-nothing. They have no responsibility, non punctual, no sense of direction, goalless, shallow minded and above all insensitive. So with this in mind, I was walking to work, when a mother was rushing her two kids, a son, 7 years old and daughter 5 years old. But what made me watch this trio was, the boy was walking bagless, while the daughter was carrying her own burden, who had difficulty in keeping pace with her mother. I really felt anger boiling against the mother, who was carrying the burden of the son. At that moment, I got the shock of my life, when the boy, slowly took the bag of his sister without her asking his help and without the knowledge of his mother. I felt so proud of him, a seven year old showing sensitivity, understanding, whatever. It was a jolting experience. You might want to know, why? I could be put myself in the category of older generation. During our ti

Excerpt of Why Should You Love Your Parents

You would get the power only if you prove yourself, in this world. What is there to prove, Rafael? That you can connect the physical you and the spiritual God. But, we won't be able to do it. Why Ajay? Sorry Rafael, don't think, I'm stubborn. Its simply because, we don't even know the basics of getting connected with God other than pray and I have been doing that since I was a baby and until now, God is unseen and unknown to me. Thank you for being frank Ajay, prayer is indeed the first step to reach God, but there is one thing you should know, before you start the journey in connecting your self with God. What is it Rafael? Your actions and thoughts from the very birth, to the last breath of your life would be written clearly in your spiritual body. Do you mean to say that, whatever in my mind, like thoughts, hurts, hatreds, anger, everything would be written in our spirit? Yes children, everything, in the sense, everything, actions, words, drea

Meet the President

Today I was thanking God, from the very bottom of my heart, that a drop of tear or two escaped my eyes. For what? That's the miracle, the beauty of life, the beauty of being human. You would feel it, when you stand in my place. If I may be frank, you might even howl your eyes out. That much big a miracle has happened to me. Now the miracle, I had written three books. I love all three, two are published, one is a romantic, " Follow The Heart & Time Your Tide " and the second is for children as well as for elders. The name, " Why Should You Love Your Parents ".The third is a family book, I have not named it. But I would surely do it. But there is one important necessity for every book, beauty, it should blend into the hearts, that work is done by the editor. I am a writer, but not an editor. Since I am not famous as a writer, I did not know whom to ask. So the best option with me was, ask God for the right person. I did. It was ages ago. Since there

Don’t Insult God

Basically my upbringing was of a spiritual trend than the normal live and jive. Don't think it was purposely done. When a lady is given a convent education, then prayer is a part and parcel of the education, along with all the disciplinary life style. Waking up at 5.30 in the morning and go to church for the mass at 6 was not a very happy ritual then. But rules are always rules, when you are living under their supervision. I have always thought, why prayer. It was so boring. I literally slept through mass, my whole of my growing stage till high school, after that I became seniors, which would not be a good practice. For the outside world, we go to church, pray morning, afternoon, evening. So we should naturally be God's pet. But is it true, that by always praying and going to church or temple or mosque can get you into the good books of God? Well, I can surely say, No. My son, he is averse to long prayers. But his grandma has a long list of prayer, which would natural

Why Should You Love Your Parents

Today, I have something to say to you, which is very important to both of us. I have written a book, Why Should You Love Your Parents. I targeted this book for children, because they are innocent. I want their innocence to be intact. We, elders, have grown so stagnant and stale that our hearts and mind have gone brittle, but to those adults who still feel young are most welcome to read this book, which can be downloaded freely, without a single penny, on 12-7-2013 12 am Pacific Standard Time till midnight. If it is Indian time, then it is 12-7-2013 afternoon 12.30 pm till next day afternoon, 12.30pm . But I have a request. I need your feedback, your review and rating. Would you be able to do that, please? This is my first book of this type and I am planning to do it in series. If the children cannot understand it, I'll have to make changes. So please be kind enough to review, criticize or suggest. The link to download at the above time is:- http://www.amazon.com/Should-Pare

What is Your Gender?

For days, I have been talking about the half man and half woman policy in the basic construction of human being. But is it localised only in human being? I don't think so. I have always been at awe when "Like Poles Repel." Yes, you guessed it right, the magnets. The first time, when my teacher, gave me magnets to try and make like poles attract, the strength of the magnet to say no was, simply awesome. I am talking about a metal, which has no attitude or life. This proves, that non living things do have two facets in it, or we can say two opposite characters and the best part is, turn one magnet and it attracts, so strongly, that it takes real strength to break it apart. Now, if we look into plants, especially, the hibiscus, it is through self pollination, it procreates, that means, it creates new hibiscus plants, with one single flower. In short, both male and female are in the same plant. Now, hibiscus is like a transgender in human language. Since we have al

Half Man and Half Woman

What is the opposite of dry? Wet, naturally Opposite of black? White. You all are correct, but today, I happened to see the idol of siva half man and half woman. I would never say any religion as false, there is always truth in all religion, but we should know it in the right perspective. O. K. Let the spiritualist speak about it. I'm no person to speak such knowledge authoritatively. But this idol made me think, why should Lord Siva openly flaunt with having two types of body? in the earthly world, we call those who have both the genders together as transgender, but, don't you think, we are making a mistake here? A mistake to the denied group of genderless people? You might want to know, why I say that. Years back, when I was in class 8, two boys made a bet. It was not a very big bet, a 1000 Rs. Bet  to have a small tablet. For the other boy, to swallow a small tablet, was an easy deal,  but after a week, in class, the boy who had swallowed the medicine, found

To my Oldy Friends with Love

Today it rained, you know where the whole sky opens up to drench anything and everything under it. Though I like to sit and have a steaming cup of coffee and watch the rain in the safety of my veranda, there was a time, when my family and myself feared rain. Years back, when we first bought this house, it was old. May be 70 plus year old house. But the locality was what attracted us to this property, because age had already set in to the house. Though we planned to demolish it, we had several bereaucratic hurdles, which does not allow us to build any structure in a heritage area. So the first rainy season set in and with it our woes, when the sky opens, our house was there to accept every single drop into it. Now, when I look back, I wondered, why we didn't use a boat to go from one room to other, yes it was a lake in our house, not because of leaking roof, but our house was lower than other houses. So all the water came into our compound. That is what age does. As we grow older,
