Science Club

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends.
Science is a vast ocean of knowledge even a small pebble can cause a ripple.  Think about a world without technology. No computers, no cars. No vaccines or cures for diseases. Life would be joyless and extremely hard. It was not long ago that this was the case. However, now with science on our side it's a whole new story. Science permeates our lives and informs our actions.
Physics, for example, teaches us how mirrors work, how glasses can aid one's vision and how heat is treated by various household materials and there goes a list of many more.
Chemistry discusses the principles of matter, like atoms, molecules and compounds. It discusses the countless different substances that can arise from the minutest variations within compounds. These atoms, molecules and compounds make up the water we drink, the food we eat, the air we breathe, the medicines we take when we are sick. In short  we can't possibly live without Chemistry.
Biology, the study of life, teaches us why we are the way we are, why we need what we need to survive, how all living things are categorized, when we all came from. These, and countless other questions and answers which are all related to science.
The modern society is now facing scientific and technological issues, from environmental concerns on ozone depletion and acid rain, to economic threats from climate change. Understanding these problems has become as basic as reading.
It is the responsibility of scientists and educators to provide everyone with the background knowledge to help us cope with the fast-paced changes of today and tomorrow. But the simplest way to place the foundation of science in the fertile minds of kids is through science clubs. Where the child becomes exposed to lots of science experiences and experiments and debates and exhibitions.
And for us students, it is through the science club which makes it possible to develop a positive attitude towards learning science and help us put a base to tackle scientific issues and also create environmental friendly technologies. Making one aware that we should not take the nature for granted and treat it wisely. So it is our duty as the future of science to start at least being little pebbles for starters and helping save the environment with our little hands and make this a better place to live.
Hope we’d be able to get instilled with scientific literacy with various activities; this can be made possible only if we work together in harmony with our teachers and thereby helping to create a better world to live on.
Thankyou.
